Pet Toys

People love their pets, and love playing with them, it’s one of the joys of pet ownership. While some pets can be taken out and played with all on their own, others want to play with toys. If you have ever had a puppy you know that they will use anything they can get at as a chew toy. Sure enough there is an entire chew toy section in most pet stores. Some dogs also like to play fetch, there are squeaky balls that make great throw toys and are durable enough to be used again and again.

Cats enjoy pet toys as well.  A common cat toy is a small ball or mouse that is hollow on the inside. The hollow can be filled with catnip, which is an herb that cats love. When give to a cat, one of these filled toys will be sniffed, batted around and pounced on.

Rodent toys include such things as spinning wheels, mazes, and rodent balls. If you want your rodent to get some exercise but don’t want to lose it behind a piece of furniture, rodent balls are ideal pet toys. They are lightweight but durable, and they lock in place securely to allow your rodent to wander around without getting into trouble. Running wheels are popular cage toys; they allow the rodent to run off excess energy. However the wheels may squeak incessantly if they are not cared for.
